Hey! I have recently started a Modern AU Yellowjackets Discord roleplay. Instead of following the 90s timeline, it will be set in 2025. This will place a modern twist onto the group, with the events in the wilderness never had occuring. This server will include social media channels, using a tweet and instagram post creator to mirror the character's social media presence. The roleplay will explore the characters in the modern period and how they use social media to communicate.

This will be a group roleplay, with all of the yellowjackets (and travis). I hope to create a community type feel out of character too and for it to be a joyful place for us to have fun! This will be a casual and comfortable roleplay, and the aim is to have fun! :)

EXACTLY. "The show is canonically queer!" YES? OBVIOUSLY? don't get me wrong I love jackieshauna but goddamn don't not mention the representation when looking for more representation

People who post about how Yellowjackets is an explicitly queer show & then say just things like “Jackie and Shauna are unambiguously in love!” “Misty is canonically a lesbian” without mentioning Van & Tai I fucking hate you so bad oh my god. Yellowjackets IS an explicitly queer show you guys just hate black women and butches and you’d rather make a case for why Travis is transfemme than just fucking acknowledge the married black lesbians on the show. The only evidence you should EVER use to call Yellowjackets “canonically queer” is Taissa, Van, Simone, and Ben. If you erase their identities bc you want Natalie to be butch just actually shut up. Words mean things. You’re all like thirteen just lying on the internet & your biases are showing real bad.

I think the biggest evidence we have towards something supernatural in yellowjackets is Laura Lee's death. Im sorry but her Teddy bear caught on fire? Yeah I don't think so. but I think her death was also a really big part of the show bc it symbolizes them losing faith about being saved and I know other people have talked about it too. I think all the deaths in the show (excluding the people who died in the plane crash) all really symbolize how lost they are inside the wilderness and how far into the descent of madness they are. And speaking of laura lee, can I just say I LOVE HER. Idc what anybody else says, shes such a good character and I love her so much
