can we just talk about how whipped yuri is. i mean GOD. From interaction one to the scene in EP 7 he wants that cookie so EFFING BAD. i love me a down bad ahh mf. charley could get ANYTHING he wants from that mf with no hesitation

something about yuri is SOOOOOO. his little smiles and the glances up and god i want to tear him to shreds smash him with a meat cleaver blend him freeze him sculpt him give him a little bow tuck him into bed bake him a pie hold his hand blow him up with a bomb give him a lil smooch fight him in a medieval duel

School Spirits season 2 spoilers

Even though im DEVASTATED about Maddie not being with the ghosts anymore i AM holding out hope that she can see them still like xavier sees the hospital ghosts

my reasoning is

1. she was out of her body for SO long so maybe thats why she can see them

2. maybe since no spirit was in her body for an extended period of time (in the last episode) that allows her to see them

3. she developed SUCH a strong bond with the ghosts so maybe thats why she can them

also we dont know if mr. anderson can also see them but i would wager not since it wasnt very long that he was out of his body.

I very much like the idea that dying somewhere gives you the ability to see the ghosts in that location

PLUS i am SO EXCITED to see happy maddie bc yes she was live laugh loving life with the ghosts but she was still struggling bc of everything going on. my girl deserves to enjoy LIFE

yuri being an artsy, asthmatic, stoner who ignored all the ghosts except for an occasional chat w janet for 40 years and only stopped pretending to loop bc he thought a guy was cute is the REALEST thing

Just realized I planned Xavier to have the most traumatizing death yet his my favorite character this season...

god, i love the contrast we got between Martin and Anderson in the show; their roles as teachers, their messy antagonistic roles throughout the seasons, and just the way Mr. Martin could've done things differently... but he did what he did and fucked up astronomically bad. Then he gets called out by someone of equal authority! Which is AMAZING.

Obviously, the ghost kids can tell him all the ways he messed up by betraying them, using them for experiments, etc. but the real dig at him can only be done by someone who's gone through rough shit like him and is still able to say that he would've never done what he did to his students. To hear his actions be said by a voice of authority and maturity.

Honestly, I would've enjoyed seeing more interactions between the two. Stick 'em in a room with comfy couches, snacks, and drinks, and let them just talk shit out (maybe definitely let Anderson rock Martin's shit). They both need someone to talk to and an ear that listens. plus, Martin could've finally interacted with someone his age rather than depend on his 15 y/o student for the last sixty years or so.

i have so much respect for mr. anderson. i absolutely love his character

there’s so much focus in media on all the ways a teacher can be bad. in the reveal of an authority figure being untrustworthy. in someone taking advantage of the power dynamic between a teacher and student

and i get that it can make for a really interesting storyline- obviously because it’s worked so well with mr. martin- but mr. anderson is such a nice change

especially in season 2, he is such a great example of all the ways a teacher can be good. teachers are some of the most important people in a kid’s life. they can have some of the biggest impacts- for worse, sure, but also for better.

mr. anderson became a teacher for all the right reasons. he cares about his students. we see it in a more personal way with maddie, but it’s even evident in the way he interacts with these ghost kids he just met.

we all know mr. martin was in the wrong, that he is the bad guy in this. we know it, and the students know it. but it’s different- for the students especially- hearing someone say it? hearing an adult say it?

you can hear it in in mr. anderson’s voice- what mr. martin did, hurting his students like he did, it would never cross mr. anderson’s mind. and his first instinct is to protect the kids, to tell mr. martin just how ashamed he should be

idk it’s just so refreshing to see an authority figure who really is good. who really does care and isn’t afraid to call a bad teacher out. even when kids are in high school- they’re still kids. they still rely on adults to keep them safe

so that cliffhanger, eh? 👀

SIMON IS TRAPPED WITH MR. MARTIN -- or at the very least have interacted with each other. We have yet to know if he'll only be stuck in the scars or if he can leave them and interact with the other ghosts.

Maddie's back in her body and Xavier can still see ghosts?? Apparently, he can only see the ghosts in the hospital (or at least only see her dad). Which makes me wonder if Maddie will be able to see the ghost gang when she goes back to school.

Jeez, this season finale is giving me a lot of fanfic material...

The way they completely wrote him out?? I really wanted him to meet the ghost kids, talk to them, help them out in ways Mr. Martin didn't, or idk... PROTECT THEM when an eventual conflict arises when Mr. M in Anderson's body comes to school. Anderson sees him in his own body/actually sees Mr. M in his sill sweater vest and decks him (idk, screw ghost rules) and smacks some sense into him lmao

why is mr anderson written out of the plot?? like… where is he?? so much could have been addressed with him, there was room for development for so many characters including himself and maddie, like?? i feel this is why we need more than eight episodes

minor spoilers for s2 ep7 regarding Mr. M and Janet

Was not expecting Mr. Martin being Janet's key to be canon 👀 In the long fic I'm currently outlining, I had come up with my own timeline of events (a mix of canon and hcs) in which I wrote that Janet was holding onto Mr. Martin when she/they died... am I psychic or what? jkjk

I'm a little worried about what's going to happen in the last episode/when the truth of what actually happened in the fire is revealed.

Also, I really want to write this long fic but school is swamping me 😭

REAL! Look, I love Wally just as much as the other guy... okay, maybe not as much lol. He's such a cool and supportive guy but when I search School Spirits on Tumblr, all I get are posts about Wally (and Milo), Wally x Reader fics, smut, headcanons, etc. I want to see the same effort be made to other characters and relationships pls 😭

(also doesn't help that I'm not as attracted to Wally the way I am to other characters *cough* Simon and Yuri *cough*)

lowkey disappointed by the lack of Mr. Anderson in this episode but boy did I laugh watching him hit a golf ball into the punch bowl. Like, I really wanted him to get more involved with the ghost kids, but I guess this week's episode was the filler episode (although we did get some GREAT scenes and interactions).

That final scene with him and Maddie though was *chef's kiss* love him <3

After everything that's happened to him at the school and to him while dealing with an alcoholic parent all his life... yeah, he needs something to destress lol

Maddie: i gotta find out how i died i gotta catch my bodysnatcher i gotta get my body back i gotta figure out why Simon can see me i gotta find out what janet and Mr Martin were up to i gotta figure out the secret to crossing over

no bc this is exactly how I feel reading y'all's posts about anything School Spirits/Savier related. It's like a ping-pong game and I'm watching the ball fly through at incredible speeds as we bounce ideas off of each other or make content lol

Xavier and Simon's friendship has barely existed so far and I'm already a big fan of it

Episode 7 HURT to find out so much information and none good

A fic set in the aftermath of 02x08 where Janet tries to reintegrate back into the ghost gang after everything that happened and how it’s not all rainbows and sunshine and easy because people are messy is calling my name

I think it’s still weird that Janet and Mr. Martin slow danced on her very last day with the other ghosts. And it’s also weird that Mr. Martin said his watch belongs to her, that it’s a symbol.

Rip Janet Hamilton, you would’ve loved debit cards instead of losing backpacks of cash in grocery stores

Doing a season 2 rewatch for the first time since the season ended. Do we know who came to the Hamilton Grandmother’s house when Janet was squatting there and why Janet burned the house down?

• I’m so glad Maddie convinced Simon she was real and not a delusion. ALSO, now all of the characters are in on the mystery??? I’m screaming. How TF did Maddie convince him after all that BS???

• I still have so many questions. Like, why and who was CHOKING Xavier??? Why is he always catching Ls 😭😭

• We get to see Wally’s death???? So hey.. i wasn’t ready for that…! I wonder if we’ll see Rhonda and Charley’s as well?

• In some of the trailer clips Wally and Simon are in the same room. I actually really wanna see them communicate somehow. I’d love to see their dynamic. (mostly because Simon is obviously gonna be pissed off)

• I’m so sure Mr. Martin killed Janet and maybe some of the other ghosts. He is so shady there’s NO way it was an accident.

• Is Maddie going to get her body back?? If she does, there’s no way she can be with Wally 🙁. At first i thought the kiss in the teaser was just heat of the moment but now they’re getting FREAKY???? (i’m not complaining at all). Also we finally get to see Wally out of those crazy ass sweats. Thank the lord 🙏🙏🙏

• I know she literally stole Maddie’s body but I kind of feel bad for Janet…
