I actually never watched Nana and I donāt ever plan on doing that because I just know this show would piss me off (Iām not saying its bad or anything but itās just kind of tragic and frustrating from what Iāve heard) the character designs are very cool tho so Iāll probably draw them again in the future
Thank you embracing me when I was having a bad dream and calming me down.
Thank you for holding my hand when I had nobody to hold to.
Thank you for being there when no one was.
Thank you for giving strength when I had none.
Thank you for loving me, for I love you too.
1. Definitely Hachi! I love her!
2. I not only have particular favorite outfit and at the same time I just canāt simply decide only one character, since everyone starting from Hachi, Misato, and everyone from Blast and Trapnest have an incredible sense of fashion. However, the ones I specially like are Nana, Hachi, Ren and Takumi styles. Nana and Ren dress themselves as punks and evoke the Sid and Nancy aura, which IĀ completely love. Hachi is more girly and sophisticated, which I find lovely; and Takumi dresses himself so damn good!
3. Again with Hachi. I'm not so dependant as she is, but I used to fall in love quickly and I do know that I sometimes can be a little naive.
Just like Hachi, I like to help and I believe that there are times that I find myself protecting the ones I love with a mix of a mother feeling.
Either way, I personally like her style because I too tend to dress like her once in a while. I also like to cook and do house chores, and finally I don't know if I'll ever get married, yet I do want to be a mom and have my own family.
4. Once again, it's a bit hard to choose just one favorite scene from the whole anime, but one that stands out is when Takumi calls Hachi for the first time. She had just lost her job, so she sits somewhere and drinks a coffee, expressing her deepest wishes, when Takumi calls her literally out of nowhere although at the right time. So she replies to him that she'll get to him and then she says to us viewers "It was in the beginning of summer. I was 20 years old."Ā Having said this, in my perspective thatās how their relationship actually began.Ā
5. This. It's a quote that I can truly relate.
6. It's obvious that I love Nana and Hachi's friendship. Despite the fact that they're incredibly different from one another, they share a bond that no one can break. They spend time having fun, dealing with problems and evolving together in this fucked up thing called life. And that's really special.
My favorite couple are Hachi and Takumi. Indeed.
First of all, Hachi always loved Trapnest, and she had always shown interest in Takumi. So when they meet, she's terribly embarrassed and everything, but when they spend their first night together, she strongly believed that she would only be the girl Takumi would have sex to that night and the next day he would simply forget about her. It didn't happen that way, despite the long time they were apart, because every now and then Takumi would eventually return to Hachi and with time he found himself falling in love with her, in spite of not admitting it.
When he found out that Hachi was pregnant, he took immediate responsability when he didn't even know if he was the father of her child or not, and after that, he provided her a luxurious house where she could quietly stay because of her state and also become the housewife she dreamed of being.
Therefore, they begin living together and their relationship undoubtedly strengthens.
So, I wholeheartdly believe that even though they're different, they accept, complete and understand each other like no one would do that to both of them. Hachi's dependcy on people is somehow adjusted by Takumi's immense responsability and maturity. Even if Takumi is sometimes a jackass to her in behavior and cheats on her, he knows that deeply in his heart he loves Hachi, and she's the one who's willing to wait for him when he gets home and someone who provides him the love that he in fact needs and lacks. He also has a perfect notion that she is only woman who he has been with that is able to make a family with him. That's why they eventually marry and have two kids, Ren Jr. and Satsuki.
7. Yup! I have a the first volume of the manga, a bookmark, a pin and three posters.
8. My God, I love this cover so much! <3

If we need love, and sadness we avoid, the friendship that unites us, and the separation that goes unpunished, it doesnāt apply, it only gets better, doesn't get worse, it will only be for now.
The following excerpt has been in my drafts for months, but I feel like it's been so long since I've worked on this that I ought to throw this blog a bone. We're still in T territory. No M as of yet.
Hachi felt a flash of heat rise within her as she remembered the night before, when a cackling Nana had waved her bandmates out the front door, slamming and locking it behind her as Hachi watched from the table. Nana didnāt often get this drunk, but theyād been celebrating the release of a new album and she had let loose in a way Hachi had never seen before - laughing heartily, drinking abundantly and making her way into each guestās lap like a stray cat. It was cute. And as Hachi watched her through bleary eyes, she thought - not for the first time - that if Nana was a guy, that she definitely would have fallen for her.
āWhy not as I am now?ā Nana asked, a hint of a smirk playing on her lips.
Shit. Shit. I had said that out loud. Curse the Demon Lord, I canāt believe I said that! Agh...
āYouāre still talking, you know?ā
By this time, Nana (or drunk Nana, rather) had sidled in on the bench next to her, loosening her collar and leaning in invitingly. She had taken Hachiās hand into her own, and she was close enough that Hachi could feel her warm breath. She wasnāt sleepy anymore. How could she be? She could feel the blood rushing to her ears, and as she felt Nanaās thumb rubbing circles on the back of her hand, she let out a small squeak.
āI asked a question... Why not as I am now?ā
Nana was gazing at her directly now, long lashes framing hypnotically dark brown eyes that were unreadable. It didnāt feel like she was being teased anymore. The question sounded (or maybe that was just her wishful thinking) almost genuine.
Why not...? Because youāre a girl. Because youāre with Ren. Because weāre... roommates?
Hachi fumbled around for an answer mentally that made sense, but as Nana was in front of her, looking thoroughly debauched and wanting - none of her usual excuses worked. She didnāt have one. She didnāt want one. And she couldnāt bring herself to say a word.
She swallowed as if to speak, and by the time she had parted her lips, Nanaās were already on them. She had let go of Hachiās hand and had brought both of her own to cup her face, and as the kiss deepened her arms naturally settled around Hachiās neck with one hand in her hair.
I tried looking for Nana x Hachi fic yesterday, and it was a struggle bus so here I am to write my own fic after a very, very long hiatus. Inspired by every Hachi playlist on Youtube because god bless those creators.Ā

As autumn sunlight streamed in through the large window over the kitchen table, Nana began to stir. It was warm, but it was bright - and the pounding in the back of her head was starting to ramp up to a pain that she couldnāt ignore. Her muscles felt stiff, and the back of her neck ached from leaning against the table all night.Ā
Just what the fuck happened last night?Ā
She opened her eyes, slowly so as to avoid the worst of the glare and rubbed away the remnants of last nightās eye makeup with the back of her hand. The last thing she remembered was singing loudly with Hachi on the karaoke machine that Nobuo had brought over, and then nothing. As she straightened up,Ā something moved in her lap. She glanced downwards.Ā
Oh.Ā
Hachi had shifted to bury her face into Nanaās thighs, her light brown hair tousled and messy from sleep. She was breathing steadily, the rise and fall of her chest indicating that she was still dead to this world and quite comfortable where she was. And though she had shifted relatively quickly, nothing could hide the red lipstick prints peppered across her cheeks, her neck, her lips.Ā
Did I - ? Could we have? While we were drunk?Ā
The idea of it didnāt upset her, but there had always been a line. A thin one, sure, but the thought that they may have crossed it without knowing it was upsetting. She groaned, and Hachi seemed to groan softly in response. She heard a quiet,Ā āNana...ā and the arms around her waist tightened for a moment before her roommateās eyes fluttered open, widening as she realized what she was doing. She let go and shot up, banging her head on the table in the process.Ā
āOw, ow, ow!ā She gripped the back of her head and looked to be in almost as much pain as Nana, and her face flushed a deep pink as tears welled in her eyes.Ā
āIām- Iām so sorry, Nana! I didnāt mean to- I mean, I did mean to but I didnāt think I would fall asleep-ā she was blubbering now, the words tumbling out in a cascade of umās and ahās.
āItās okay, Hachi.āĀ
She raised a hand to rub at the bump starting to grow on the back of Hachiās head, smoothing her hair down in the process.
āAre you okay?āĀ
āIāll be f-fine,ā Hachi said, averting her gaze as her voice hitched. What Nana hadnāt realized was the trail of pink lipstick marks across her own face that wound their way into her shirt - as well as the purpling hickeys on her neck and collarbones. Hachi had noticed though - after all, she had been the one to put them there.Ā
Nana looked unconvinced, but she scooted off the bench anyways and headed to the kitchen - returning with two glasses of water and the bottle of painkillers they kept in a cabinet for hangovers. Hachi took the water gratefully, bringing the glass to her lips and swallowing two pills. A wave of relief washed over her - until Nana asked something that nearly made her choke.Ā
āSo, what happened last night?āĀ
