I really enjoy content with Dust, so I hope I did him justice!! I made sure to avoid any gendered terms since I see a lot of fem!yn and want some diversity!

- He reads as a hobby, so often enough he is fine with parallel play where you would be laying on his lap on your phone or reading while he's focused on his book. Sometimes, when he's not thinking, he'll drift his phalanges to stroke your hair while he's reading

- He loves cooking from anyone, so if you prepare him a meal he'll be grateful for it no matter if you present a dish made for a god or if it is a burnt excuse of food

- His nickname for you would be angel, something he wouldn't call you unless he really got to know you

- He finds comfort in forests, so if you guys went for a walk together he would find it serene to spend time with you there

- He sleeps in a lot due to his constant trouble with sleeping. One thing that brings him comfort is holding you close, since he always has to have his arms wrapped around something or someone. When this happens, you can expect him to not let you go until he's awake

- He is extremely touch starved, but he feels anxious with touch for most of the time. It's an unfamiliar sensation and he feels that he isn't deserving of affection. Nonetheless, small touches would be acceptable from you over time. Small things like locking pinkies, placing his hand on your head, or allowing you to rub his back when he's stressed. He doesn't know how, but at some point he finds himself lingering by you. He'll often tug at your shirt if he wants to have affection, silent as he is

- He's rather protective, especially when around others. He finds that his anxiety heightens around too many people, so he will often loop an arm around you or linger close so that you aren't out of his sight

- His magic tastes of vanilla. Do that with what you will

- He likes photography, so he would carry a picture of you if he could (with your consent of course)

- He can be polite, never raising his voice at you if he can help it. Often, he doesn't say anything to begin with

- He can spend hours in silence with you, doing anything

- If you got a gift from him they would be things like food he picked up somewhere, trinkets, jewelry. He also tends to give you things in your favorite color

- He would absolutely love it if you wore vanilla cologne/perfume

- Hes a great listener for anything, really. He likes to hear your voice and he wouldn't mind listening to you ramble about anything. He's often nonverbal, and he would give little signs to show that he was listening

- He would go ragdoll in your grasp if you cuddled or hugged him

- The only reason he'd hesitate to give you his jacket is because of two reasons. One - dust is all over it and even if it was cleaned he just feels weird without it. Two - he doesn't like people to see his face since he looks so similar to Vanilla. He thinks you wouldn't like the way his eyes look either. Even if you reassured him, he would much prefer to just let you sit in his lap while you're zipped up with him

- He tends to stare a lot. He doesn't mean to, really he doesn't. He just likes observing others, and you're his favorite person to watch. You're pretty.

- He's confused as to why you like him so much, with how guilty he feels about everything that he's done. Because of this, he avoids showing any violent or aggressive behavior around you. He's possessive though, and he doesn't like sharing all that much

- He doesn't realize it, but his bones will tremble when you have long contact with him at the start of getting comfortable around you. He doesn't realize that it's because he's so unused to a comforting touch

- your skin is warm and soft compared to his bone, so he often will stroke your cheek, your arms, your back, anywhere really. He enjoys the sensation, and he thinks of you as the perfect companion to randomly lay on at times. He usually will sit next to you one moment, then either lay on your lap or against your shoulder the next

- I headcanon that Pap's dust is infused with Dust's soul, so often Pap is around. Pap does have a tendency to sometimes drain Dust of energy if there's enough to spare in order to say hi and have a conversation with you if Dust doesn't pass out. If he does, then you can see Pap and even feel some of his ghostly touch if he were to hug you. Pap does respect your privacy with Dust, though, and he would be willing to be in a different room when he notices. He's happy to know you're there for his brother

Soul Bonding

Just thinking about soul bonding. This is just my personal take on it, and later on I definitely will be using this for some of my self indulgent x reader content. Enjoy

Soul bonding is when two or more souls create an intimate relationship with one another. It is not exclusive to romantic feelings, but rather all versions of love. Each soul almost syncs in wavelengths when it happens, and that can allow each soul to understand and better connect with the others emotions at the time. It is exclusive to those with a soul, but there are ways those without one can still connect. No bond is stronger than the other in the sense that family is first, or romantic is first. Each is treated as if it's strong to begin with in order to form, as anything before a soul bond is simply a connection that happens with the body and mind.

The things that the soul bonding can bring is some of the following:

- Better understanding of the others emotions, due to the fact that they're intimate with the soul and it's wavelengths

- Better ability to find the other no matter the distance

- Getting the ability to find things out about the other that is never spoken. However, this would mean that the person able to detect this would have to be really in tune with their soul

- Causing each being to feel closer, since soul bonding happens involuntarily and sometimes souls just feel a tugging to connect. This is how some love at first sight moments occur

- It can strengthen over time and has the ability to allow the other to actually hear the music of the other's soul if chosen to. Each Soul has a different sound, and it tends to have effects on the soul listening such as soothing sensations, a release of happy emotions, and a vulnerable desire to sing along and synchronize

- The soul will grow brighter the closer they are to the other soul, sometimes leading to the two being exposed in order to "sing together." When this happens, both beings bond more strongly and can practically share the same soul with how the souls are so in sync. Emotions are shared, thoughts are shared, sensations are felt, and the strength of the soul doubles

Soul bonding can bring what some consider bad. However, it is simply because the soul can only be honest and be selfish with what it wants and only what it wants. Souls never intend to harm another, as it's made entirely of LOVE. The reason something would go wrong is entirely on the person, and when the situation turns sour its only because of the voluntary choices of the individual themselves

- Feeling the others emotions when in close or distant proximity, allowing each soul to tell when the other is upset or angry. This can be a good thing, but in an unhealthy relationship, this can lead to anxiety and a constant desire for pleasers to do more in hopes that the other soul will be happy

- Trying to connect before the beings are ready, as it's natural for the wavelengths to sometimes resonate since it's something deeper going on that only the souls knows. Some monsters/humans aren't ready for those commitments, which can lead to the right person, wrong time

- It is hard to cut off the soul bond, as even if it's damaged it has to be voluntarily cut off by the individual. This can lead to times where the one on the end of the cut is suffering as the soul feels that pain and sudden lack of connection.

- Better ability to find the other no matter the distance, which can lead to struggles getting away from someone if the soul bond isn't cut off properly, leaving tethers that remain

- Some bonds are so strong that they refuse to listen to logic. This can lead to monsters or humans doing stupid things even without knowing fully why. Yes, this can lead to good results, but not always

Can Soul Bonding involve more than one person?

Soul bonding is not exclusive to one person. There can be multiple and it is only possible if both souls understand the bond as "right." This means that cheating is not something that can lead to anything good. Soul bonding only is if both souls have an intimate connection beforehand, but only in the emotional sense. Anything such as a fling only hurts the soul and the bonds it has made, since the soul bonding cannot be formed over sexual or artificial relationships.

Interestingly, souls can be quite restrictive when it comes to who it wants to bond with. This is why forced soul bonding isn't possible, such as an abusive partner, as it cannot be forced if only one soul wants to bond. If there was a bond beforehand, but it weakened over time due to an unhealthy relationship, the soul bond can and will be easier to cut without the repercussions.

Interestingly, there can be an unrequited love bond. Usually, this stems from friendships/platonic soul bonds. What tends to happen is a platonic soul bond will form, but only one soul starts to experience a romantic sensation. This leads to shaky soul bonds that can be hard for each soul to synchronize properly. They sing a different tune when bonding, the shape of wavelengths differing and causing only uneven bonding moments. It still is a good sensation, but it's not as strong as it could be

What happens if a soul rejects another?

Well, there is a reason why some monsters or humans instantly don't like each other. Sometimes, souls simply don't have wavelengths that it can sync with. They don't have anything they want to do with the other, and often this causes the individual to dislike the other even if it's without reason. Sometimes, a healthy soul will reject another that's tainted such as having excess or hints of discoloration. After all, the soul may not know why, but it signals that the other poses a threat, a threat to itself. There must be a reason that the soul is the way it is, and this is especially the case if signs of Corruption are present.

Some souls will bond, however, if both are tainted. Those with excess will either reject each other, or bond. The same can be said to those that are in discoloration, such is how those with depression experience understanding towards others that also have depression

- can do backflips effortlessly and is highly flexible, agile

- Speaks uniquely with words like "yo broseph," "that's not very swag, broski" etc.

- Loves candy and has a sweet tooth, he rarely doesn't have candy in his mouth

- Travels into other AU's, but people are weirded out by him when he appears. He loves to confuse others

- Often seen as annoying, he has a tendency to not care

- He hardly ever is anything but happy, and even then he is never seen not smiling. There would have to be something wRønG to have him frowning

- Has multiple pins and jewelry, he will give you a gift he has if he likes you. It helps him identify you when he decides to travel and needs to remember what timeline of a character knows him

- Will gift people odd things, once he gave someone a Lego pack while another person was gifted a keychain

- Loves furbies to a concerning extent. He somehow got ahold of one that's conscious and carries it around with him. It's the only thing he's truly attached to

- Even if he doesn't have a lot of compassion, empathy, or sympathy, he won't involve others in his drama for the sake of "them not being able to handle his fun nature" (he actually does care for them, and just refuses to acknowledge it)

- Won't go out of his way to keep others safe often, but on occasion he has saved someone. No one can identify what the reason happens to be

- People tend to say "oh no, not him," when he appears

- He canonically can censor other people with their curse words, and in fact it's impossible to curse when he's around

- April 20th is his official bday (420 joke) but because Fresh doesn't like drugs he lies by telling others his birthday is April 1st

- Apparently has amazing Defense to the point that it's nearly impossible to kill him. Only the husk can die, since nothing can out speed the parasite. The only entity it's ever avoided is Reaper, as Reaper happens to be the only one to actually scare the parasite

- Has explosive furbies. He can activate them as if they were a detonator when thrown. When it lands on any intentional or unintentional target, it will explode into a great explosion of "murderous colors"

- Is horribly blunt, he'll say whatever is on his mind without concern. In fact, it can be absolutely the worst insult you've ever had

- He's quite affectionate. He'll hold people's hands, hug them, press foreheads, and even do a kiss now and again

- Has a lot of 80's and 90's fashion, but he just wears whatever makes him happy at the moment

- He doesn't classify himself as good or bad, as he only worries for himself. (....unless?)

- Usually watches other AU's when they're fighting, sometimes he'll fuck shit up as a result too even if it's someone he was on good terms with

- It rarely happens, but if he's angry enough his parasite will crawl out of his eye socket to wrap its tentacles around his glasses. The parasite often moves around the body, which would be around the ribs or the skull

- If he takes off his hat, usually something is underneath like a rubber duck or even a smaller hat

- Acts like he's friends with everyone, even if they absolutely disagree since he just wants a good time

- Taller than other Sanses usually so he looms over them or uses it to his advantage

- Loves to float around, either in air or in water (don't ask)

- His glasses stay on his head at all times. Always, as it's a "stamp" of his character

- Loves french fries and ketchup, though he doesn't need food often

- Usually likes 80's and 90's music but will listen to any for fun

- Adores seeing kids and spending time with them when it happens. He loves to get them to laugh, to play around

- Tom Cardy and Weird Al is his favorite artists

- Roller skates around and often customizes them

- He is one out of two individuals who knows that Ink is soulless

- Gender does not affect him, but he likes masc and gender neutral pronouns the most

- He is very in control of his emotions, he has never lost control of them. HOWEVER, there is a slim chance that if he ever fell in love or loved someone platonically, he would think that he was dying or that he was sick with something

- He's on the aroace spectrum, and there are no reports of him ever experiencing love or sexual attraction. There is a slim chance of love actually forming, romantic at least, but don't expect it to be anytime soon

- He doesn't care what people think, he would love to wear a dress or a skirt with a cute cardigan. Androgynous or masc outfits are what he likes, but he's not against wearing fem clothes

- Can he get drunk? Well, yes, but what gets him drunk isn't alcohol. He has a high metabolism, and it would have to be a specifically made magical beverage to get him wasted. In fact, alcohol, drugs, and smoking are things he avoids. He once snorted a whole ass pack of fun dip and pixie sticks. He didn't do it anymore after the incident.

Closing Notes: I won't really think about what he's like in a romantic relationship since I personally don't see it happening. If it was ever requested, I might consider it someday. I just think he'd form platonic relationships if anything. Thank you for reading :-))

I love this question! I love all your ideas, and since life just keeps bombing me I just get distracted. I hope you like these little headcanons!

They all have a side to them that's scary in general, especially when they are feeling protective. However, only a few of them are initially scary to begin with!!

Red: He, by his world's standards, isn't the scariest. He doesn't even try to be scary on the surface either, since he's too lazy. However, he noticed that to humans, he seems scary. He sometimes does this to mess with humans, even you at times. (Though, it's always lighthearted and teasing.) When in public, he is casual with you, but he's aware that people will leave you alone more likely if you're with him. He tends to linger closer when he sees you're nervous, brushing it off with a tease. He won't push you too much, though, and he'll let you grab onto his hoodie when nervous. He might forget that he's scary at times though, which can lead to funny things happening

Pitch: He was scary in the underground, and he's scary on the surface. He knows he's scary, and this either greatly benefits him or greatly inconveniences him. When he's with you, he's always on high alert, and you'll be able to tell. He, with your permission of course, will tend to keep a hand on your shoulder if he can help it or ask that you stand close. He might make you feel embarrassed if someone bothers you and he demands that they apologize, but overall he has your back.

Carmine: With a slightly more intense energy, he's hyper aware of his scary dog privileges. He demands authority when walking into a room, and he is aware of the eyes that may linger on him. He may be more gentle and attentive with you, but that wouldn't show in public. He rarely would show PDA, or get distracted when you're around. Any time with him that wouldn't involve being high alert would only be on rare occasions like date night, but he's very aware of everything around him and he's okay with being that way for you

Rus: Much quieter and more relaxed, his scary dog privileges never fully turn off. He's naturally scary due to his height and appearance, even if he wasn't too intense for his underground's standard. He's quieter than Red, too, so that just adds on. He likes to stare at others and likes to drape himself around you, whether in public or not. He may not be the worst, but he's one of them

Razz: loud, demanding, and scary, he's like Carmine in a different way. Carmine is quiet in his intimidation, but Razz revels and preens in being more scary. He grows more humble, of course, but... Well, the moment he's aware he scared someone off for you, you won't see him stop smiling. He likes messing with others, to make them uncomfortable while smiling, even if you tell him not to. He can't help it!

Cash: He knows he looks intimidating, and he's aware that he's judged. Like Rus, he also is very clingy in different ways. He's louder, more sarcastic, and he likes to scare people to amuse himself. When he knows he's also conveniently protecting you, he never lets you out of his sight and he's quieter about his protectiveness. He won't outright tell you what he's doing, or cause a scene, but you can trust that he will deal with whoever bothers you.

Wine: Just naturally intimidating compared to the others, he's even more authoritative compared to anyone else. He preens in his intimidation, but he's humble about it and he can be polite. His scary dog privileges are quieter, but stronger under that thin veil of nice behavior. He won't ever let you see him act that way, though, because he's a gentleman and you don't need to worry your little head about things. He'll deal with whoever bothers you, don't worry!

Saint: He doesn't like being scary. He knows he is, though. It protected him underground, and he feels that lingering insecurity when he DOES get stares. However, he never voices them. He may get more irritable, though. He lingers around you, always on alert. He tries to make sure you can tell he's comfortable with laughing and joking, but he's sarcastic and rude with anyone that's annoying or bothering you. He's not above verbal threats, and he's open to fighting easily. To say the least, if you're afraid to go somewhere, he's wonderful to have since he's quieter and one of the most scary.

Lunar: he's tall, scary, and yet he doesn't like it. He really wishes that he didn't look so...like him. Nonetheless, even if he's polite and kind, he's aware that he's intimidating. He avoids trying to make himself look scary, which makes you and him feel a little braver when you encourage each other to feel less insecure. However, there would be occasions he doesn't let you see his expression when he's...protective. He won't vocalize it, but his aura and appearance alone is enough to ward people away

Dust: He doesn't have to try, and he doesn't bother to try. He's scary, he knows that. Monsters and Humans alike find him scary as hell, if not unnerving. He doesn't say anything, of course, unless you talk to him first. If confronted by someone, he just has to put minimal effort into scaring them off with his face under his hoodie or just with a few words. He'll let you cling onto him without commentary, and he's great if you want someone to ramble to. He'll make sure you're safe, no matter what

A martial arts master y/n, who does tournaments and runs her own school. One day, a very tall and hyperactive skeleton shows up. (Undertale Papyrus) Too skilled for the other students in the class, you come face to face with a new sparring partner. He seems very friendly. And, in a strange way, kind of flirty too?

It always went in one direction, always forward, towards the end. All offense and most importantly focus upon the opponent.

No holding back. After all, he'll manage, he always does.

You formed your hands in a tight grip, launching yourself at him. You dug your fingers into the bicep of the swinging arm and ripped at the cloth while striking the forearm on the same side, straight in with the heel of the palm. Next, you pressed into your advantage as his eyes shrank a fraction, your hand darting towards his neck and pushing with your fingertips striking and temporarily closing his windpipe.

Knees bent, weight forward on the balls of your feet, head lowered. Cyperus glared up at you, straightening into a matching stance. Their eyes locked. Focus. With a yell, you threw a kick at Cyperus's head. He ducked, sliding easily into a leg-sweep, knocking your support from underneath.

The ground smashed into your back, forcing the air from your lungs in a rushing wheeze. You rolled backwards to your feet, still fighting against the tightness in your chest. Cyperus closed in on you, pushing his advantage, legs flying. You blocked as many of the blows as you could, his legs jarring before you twisted it around to him, hands striking his sockets every time you did.

He grunted as you moved towards a kick, watching his foot slide back as he barely avoided the blow. Unfortunately for him, his balance was momentarily weakened due to the sudden movement as he staggered backwards. Cyperus was off balance, he knew it, but before he could do anything you were already lunging forward. There was nothing for it. He couldn't block anything while he was still off-balance.

In a fraction of a second, you lined up your shoulder with Cyperus. You could see the unprotected area on his stance where you would strike. Your left foot forwards, you brought your back foot to the front and shot out. From there you had all the time in the world. All you had to do was turn so your other side faced your opponent, wait for gravity to start pulling him down, and then shoot your right leg out in a straight line, sailing cleanly upon impact with his long legs. Dead center, and down he went.

To finish off, you lowered down your foot into normal stance as your breathing felt even yet heavy. Your eyes stared down at the skeleton, before your voice rang out.

"Stop!"

And with that, you finished your sparring. Your students stared as they say silently, eyes glued to the both of you. Cyperus, stood up into proper stance as his chest heaved. Sweat covered his skull as he panted, his body only slouched temporarily before he straightened his spine. He bowed low and so did you, before you walked towards him. You smiled, offering your hand towards him as he stood at attention.

"Cyperus, I find that you've clearly done well. We'll need to practice some more with sparring, but you clearly have had practice before." Your tone softened as he accepted your hand, his phalanges showing a slightly orange glow. In between each bone a faint, entrancing light would catch your attention. Despite the fight, he smelled of sickly sweet citrus due to what you expected to be magic.

He grinned, panting in between each word. "YES! haah, I HAVE! I haah APPRECIATE Y-YOUR PRAISE! haaah..." You lead him towards a distant table that provided water, handing it to him as you looked up to him. Despite the fact that he was a skeleton, he clearly has a shape to him. He was broad chested with more narrow hip bones, tall with almost lanky limbs attached. When he was using magic, he smelled of citrus, only now was it accompanied with sweat.

He had decided to become a member of your school only a few months ago, but he proved himself to be a worthy student. Not only did he have strong integrity and respect, but he was also very kind. Outside of work, he was actually a very good friend to you. Or at least acquaintances? You were busy pretty often, having to decline his offers frequently. He never minded, but he always left you feeling fuzzy and slightly lightheaded.

He cocked his head back and tilted the bottle towards his mouth, a faint glow of a tongue visible to your eyes. You averted your stare, especially since you found it embarrassing. After taking a swig, you did the same, the two of you feeling slightly sore but perfectly in tact. He leaned against the table with his phalanges clacking against the flat surface, his head tilted to the side. "HEY, I WAS WONDERING SOMETHING,"

You hummed out questionably, acknowledging him to continue. "ARE YOU FREE THIS SATURDAY?" You sputtered slightly at the personal question, the water you were drinking spilling slightly onto the floor. He quickly handed you a paper towel, a laugh escaping him as his magic was starting to dim through his bones. "AH-! MY APOLOGIES, WAS THAT TOO FORWARD?"

You accepted the help as he towered over you as you crouched down, not looking at him as you felt warmth forming up on your cheeks and ears that weren't from sparring. "W-well, it's certainly not a question I expected. But uhm- no, no I'm not. Why? You felt like your heart was pumping even louder in your ears as you wiped away the mess, your spine straightened up like tension on a string begging to be plucked as you tossed the paper towel in the trash.

"WELL-....I WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU'RE WILLING TO HAVE LUNCH? WITH ME?" You turned your head at his slowly softening voice, struck silent as your mouth went dry. Oh. oh. Oh, wow. Okay. You could see that there was a wave of uncertainty in his voice, the slight waver as he smiled at you a little more nervously. Despite the confidence that this skeleton upheld, this was one of the few moments he seemed unsure of himself.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO IF NOT, I THINK THAT GETTING TO KNOW YOU THOUGH WOULD BE AN HONOR. JUST AS FRIENDS? I KNOW IT CAME OFF AS WEIRD," He looked a little hopeful as he clasped his hands together and held it to his chest. If it weren't for the fact that it was him, you would've had your doubts. He simply looked so sincere, and the idea that he wanted to spend time with you filled your body with a tingling sensation.

You hardly built relationships with others outside of your passionate work, especially since it was one of the main points you could build control with full confidence. You sucked at socializing otherwise. You debated saying no, simply because you didn't want to look stupid when you tried so hard to remain composed during hours.

But on the other hand....

You couldn't lie to yourself, and you knew it. He was...charming, and if anyone was willing to spend time with you of all people? You found that your smile was dorky, lopsided as you spoke before you could change your mind. "No! No it's not weird, hah-! Uh... I'd-.... I'd like to. Yes, I want to." You finally found your voice near the end of the sentence, clapping your hands together out of habit for finalization.

He brightened up at this, smiling wide as that confidence that he had now flooded back. He clapped his hands with delight, the edges of his eye sockets scrunching up. "OH YAY!! THANK YOU, I PROMISE TO ONLY PROVIDE THE BEST. WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE PICKED UP OR...?" He offered, one of his hands gesturing towards nothing in particular as a grand expression.

You couldn't help but keep smiling at the offer, but you put one hand up in a stop motion. "No, that won't be necessary, but I appreciate it Cyperus." He dramatically bowed, one of his wrists twirling his hand. "OH BUT OF COURSE. WHY DON'T WE MEET UP DOWNTOWN?" "Sounds like a plan! Thank you, really."

He leaned forward, towering over you just slightly before he took your hand gently in his own. You smelled a slight hint of citrus, but before you realized it, you felt a tingling jolt in your hand as he nuzzled his teeth against your hand. You felt that your ears were just as warm as your face as you stiffened upon the contact, your hand feeling a slight hum. What was-...?

"NO, THANK YOU," He murmured, craddling your hand as his thumb rubbed over the backside. "I FEEL HONORED TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER WITH YOU. I DO HOPE THAT YOU FIND ME JUST AS AMAZING AS I FIND YOU." The edges of his mandibles curved up as the softness of his bone felt smooth against you. Oh, oh...oh stars. You felt lightheaded, your voice strained as you spoke. "I-I see..."

You were going to pass out on the spot. He simply let out a chuckle, straightening back up as his hand slipped away from yours. "You're too sweet, Cyperus." You muttered, and he puffed his chest at this. "OBVIOUSLY. HOW CAN I BE THE AMAZING CYPERUS IF I AM ANYTHING BUT HONEST?" He strided over to the cubbies near the entrance, slinging his bag over his shoulders as he waved to you. "I'M OFF TO GO PREPARE FOR TOMORROW, GET HOME SAFELY, ALRIGHT?" You mumbled a response in acknowledgement, though your brain felt overwhelmed.

As he left, you felt that you were subconsciously rubbing your fingers over the area he nuzzled on your hand. You didn't realize that you were standing there for however long you did, but you couldn't help it. He made you feel soft, and he made you feel...good. That's going to be a problem. You heard one of your students call to you, and you rolled your shoulders back as you clapped your hands.

Ah...back to work.
