3 page fancomic for luffy and law from one piece. it takes place in a modern au where law is a coroner and luffy is a forensic entomologist. page 1. panel 1: law is at her desk, anxiously waiting as she dials a number and waits for the phone to ring. she grumbles, "come on, come on," casting a glance back at a corpse surrounded by bugs. panel 2: she's sweating slightly as the person on the other end of the line answers, "hello, you've reached the office of monkey d. forensics." panel 3: the voice calls to mind the image of an anteater, for some reason. law blandly replies, "this is trafalgar from the coroner's office. is luffy available?" panel 4: a close-up of law's office phone. the person on the other end asks, "trafalgar???" completely puzzled by the name.

page 2. panel 1-4: multiple panels of law, her fist balled on her desk. with each passing moment, her frown and blush deepen, until she sighs and tries, "torao?" the other person gasps in instant recognition, "oh! TORAO!" panel 5: it turns out that it's usopp on the other end. he grins smugly and tells law, "yeah, luffy's AVAILABLE," with extra emphasis on the final word. panel 6: usopp says, "please hold," before stage-whispering, "psst! it's HER!" to luffy. luffy stands up quickly, grinning brightly with excitement. panel 7: luffy slams into usopp's desk, grabbing the phone with a loud, "torao!" as usopp flails and falls behind her.

page 3. panel 1: over the phone, law shouts, "i need you!" luffy's face lights up with shock and a blush. usopp's hand twitches from his place on the floor. panel 2: an embarrassed law clarifies, "uh. need your help, i mean," as she rubs the back of her neck with a hand. panel 3: luffy is still grinning as she excitedly asks, "oh, um, what can i do?" usopp flashes her a supportive thumbs-up. panel 4: law grumbles, "BUGS. i've got a body here crawling with way more than i'm equipped to deal with." panel 5: the background is completely dark as luffy's face drops into pure frustration and disappointment. she mumbles, "oh." as she realizes law has called for help with work stuff.

i rly love this au concept (im a sucker for forensics…) and i was rly cheering luffy on as she tried her best to seduce permanently-married-to-her-work law ☺️

Zoro and Sanji are sitting in front of the Thousand Sunny's galley door. They both have sacks in their heads. Sanji has two sets of rope around his torso, binding his arms to his back, while Zoro has three. Sanji has more three sets of rope binding his knees to his chest. They both look a little disheveled.
Sanji says: Get off me!!
Zoro says: You get off!!

#1 panel: Sanji has the sack taken off his head by Chopper's paw. He looks angry and asks "what is going on here!?"
#2 panel: Zoro also has his sack taken off his head by Usopp's hand. He also looks angry and says: why would
you put a sack on my head-"
#3 panel: zoro and sanji are both in a chibi state, looking shocked, while asking "eh?".
#4 panel: very big panel, taking 2/3 of the page. It shows the Sunny's galley, where we can see, in the foreground, Usopp crouching next to Chopper, both with their arms crossed and "bad boy" poses, while, in the middle ground, we see Franky and Luffy at the left, in the kitchen area. Luffy is sitting atop the counters, while Franky is sitting on the circular bench in front of them. They seem happy. In the right side, on the sofa, Robin and Brook are sitting comfortably, also smiling at zoro and sanji. In the background, we see Nami leaning against the wall, on the opposite side of the room. Beside her, there is a big white board. Facing the board, there is a den den mushi on top of a little stool. The den den mushi has its eyes closed and has a button on top of its shell.

#1 panel: Zoro and Sanji are looking to the side, avoiding the crew's eyes while pouching. Sanji asks: "...is this
about the broken railing?", to what Franky says "...what broken railing?". Zoro asks: "then, is this about the broken window...?", to what Franky says: "what broken window?!".
#2 panel: A hand clicks the button on top of the den den mushi while Nami says, offscreen: "No, boys. This is about
something else entirely."
#3 panel: The den den starts trembling, humming, like a machine starting. Nami continues: "we gathered
you here to talk about..."
#4 panel: the den den opens its eyes and seems to be projecting something into the board.
#5 panel: the biggest panel. Nami completes "...your relationship". She is standing beside the board, gesturing at it, that now displays "is zosan real? a presentation made by nami and the others". At the bottom of the page, there is the drawing of the den den mushi, that now is called "den den point" with this explanation: the den den point is a visual den den mushi that scans photos and projects them. it has a button that goes to the next image on top. made by usopp."

#1 panel: Zoro and Sanji are once again chibis, now with mouths open, eyes vacant, shocked. "What", they ask in unison.
#2 panel: Nami is speaking at the foreground, while Usopp is nodding in the background. She says: "You see, whatever
you two have going on has been affecting our crew (and my finances), so we’re making an intervention."
#3 panel: They switch places, with now Usopp in the foreground while Nami nods in the backgeround. He says: "and before you say "you’re making this up", i’ll have you
know everyone has been collecting evidence that zosan is real.".
#4 and #5 panel: closeup of zoro, then sanji annoyed faces. Zoro asks: "what is a zosan?" while sanji asks "why isn't it "sanzo"?"

Three paneled comic page.

1. Trafalgar Law walks straight ahead with hands in his coat pockets.

2. Law glances over, hearing whispering from an alleyway.
"No, that's for sure a pirate- I've seen the poster in the bar!"
"Yeah, I know, my brother's a marine, dummy!"
"HEY!"
"YUBA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

3. POV over Law's shoulder as he looks to a small kid that has stepped out from the alleyway, looking at him with a determined expression. Another kid calls out to the boy, scream-whispering, "Yuba!"

Four paneled comic page.

1. The young boy named "Yuba" addresses Law bravely.
"You're the Heart Stealer Pirate, right?!"
We can see the other kids hiding in the alleyway, all of them thinking at once, "He's nuts!"

2. Law looks down at Yuba, his face partially hidden by the collar of his long coat.
Law: "And if I am?"

3. Yuba looks up at Law while standing in his shadow. Yuba looks nervous and gulps.
Law: "Are you gonna go and tattle on me to the Navy?"

4. Yuba tries to act brave again, shouting, "I'm not scared o'you!!"

A three paneled comic page.

1. Law and Yuba stand across from each other. Yuba is pointing at Law.
Yuba: "C-cuz I know your secret!!"

2. Law smirks, amused by Yuba's claim.
Law: "Pfft- I wasn't aware that I had any damning secrets like that..."

3. Law now squats down, arms resting on his knees, to be at Yuba's eye level. Yuba seems spooked by this.
Law: "I'll bite, kid. What's my secret?"

1. Yuba looks very scared now while still trying to be brave.
Yuba: "It's- Y-you. The...the only reason-"

2. Law still looks amused, smirking and tilting his head as he waits for Yuba to get his words out.
Yuba: "-that you s-steal hearts is 'cuz-"

3. Yuba: "Is 'cuz- You lost YOUR heart!!"
Law's smirk has fallen, and he now looks surprised at Yuba's answer. Around him, flutter black feathers and snowflakes.

4. The dark outline of a black feather coat is seen.

A seven paneled comic page.

1. A low shot of children's legs running as they sprint away back down the alleyway. They are all yelling different things.
"Ruuun!"
"Eek!"
"I TOLD you!"
"Yuba!"
"I don't wanna die!!"

2. A shot of Law who is standing back up, seen from the alleyway which is now empty, dust kicked up from the children running away in fear.

3. Law has a self-satisfied smirk on his face, snrking at the children.

4. The smirk is gone again, replaced with a quiet frown, Law's eyes hidden under the brim of his hat.

5. A shot of Law's bare chest, this time with tattoos. His hand is over a black empty square where his heart should be.
Law: "Lost my heart, huh?"

6. The Ope-Ope Fruit is shown
Law: "It's more like I was traded one."

7. Cora-san's smiling face and eyes closed, from shortly after his death.
Law: "For another"

1. A voice off screen speaks.
"Don't be silly..."
Hands reach out around Law's shoulders from behind. This person's shirt is covered in a heart pattern. Black feathers flutter around.

2. Law continues to walk, unaware that Cora-san's ghost now hovers behind him, having Law in an embrace and resting his face against Law's hat. His eyes are closed, and he's smiling.
Cora: "You have BOTH."
